An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Commissioning team as Programme Delivery Manager. This is a high profile role within the Trust which involves the management of and/or support to, a range of programmes of work.
The appointee will work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and as such, the ability to build relationships, communicate effectively and work collaboratively to resolve emergent issues are essential.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide the management of and/or support to, a range of programmes of work.
2. Put in place structures and processes to manage the flows of relevant information within each programme of work.
3. Build constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project/programme goals are achieved.
4. Maintain oversight of the purpose and status of all programmes of work, and use this to support project level activity to ensure the goals are met.
5. Identify and manage cross-project dependencies where risks, issues or requirements may not be apparent at project level. Design and propose solutions or mitigations, where appropriate.
6. Manage the working relationship with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful engagement within the terms of the contract, and work collaboratively to resolve issues, escalating as required.

Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or professional equivalent
* Evidence of ongoing career/professional development.
* Educated to post degree level
Experience
* Experience of project/programme management including planning, implementation and report writing.
* Experience of providing support and challenge on delivery milestones to a range of stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience of working with complex datasets including analysis and collation.
* Experience of presenting to a wide range of audiences.
* Experience of drafting corporate documents.
* NHS experience - ideally in a large acute centre.
* Experience of working effectively with clinical colleagues to achieve tangible outcomes.
* Experience of managing external stakeholders, including expectation management.
* Experience of working in a contracting or financial planning.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of project management, data management and analytical methods.
* Knowledge of the NHS Payment System.
* Knowledge of the NHS Standard Contract for Acute Services.
* Appreciation of the relationship between Commissioning organisations and individual providers.
* Understanding of the NHS CQUIN Programme.
* Understanding of quality improvement methodology and its application.
* Understanding of the changing nature of commissioning in respect of the formation of integrated care systems.
