Job responsibilities include:
Main focus: Supporting our extensive medical diet procedure throughout the business by:
18. Creating a wide range of medical diet menus for our pupils with allergies and intolerances.
19. Ensuing FIR regulations are met by providing up to date allergy information.
20. Managing day to day parent, pupil and client queries surrounding medical diets.
21. Contributing to ingredient, recipe and menu development.
22. Deliver medical diet training throughout the business.
23. Attending parent and client meetings regarding medical diet provision.
24. Maintaining medical diet information throughout our in-house menu management systems.
25. Manage sensitive pupil allergy information in an organised manner, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
26. Review policies and procedures on medical diets.
Additionally: Support the Chartwells Nutrition and Health strategy by:
27. Contributing to nutrition education and training for clients and colleagues
28. Ensuring nutritional compliance of the food offer, including analysis of recipes and ingredients
29. Supporting with innovation in nutrition initiatives
Our ideal Nutritionist will:
30. Must have graduated within the last 2 years with an accredited degree (BSc), or higher, in Nutrition
31. High attention to detail
32. Experience in working with people with allergies and intolerances (desirable)
33. Experience using nutritional analysis system such as Saffron (or equivalent)
34. Strong communicator and confident presenting to a wide variety of audiences
35. Ability to manage a busy inbox and work under pressure
36. Ability to multi-task and excellent organisational skills
37. Team player
38. Conscientious and determined about championing the wellbeing of children
39. Excellent IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
40. Proven record of meeting deadlines
41. Ability to work independently without constant guidance from line manager
42. Passion for keeping up to date with research and legislation
43. Punctual and a good time keeper
44. Experience working in the food industry is also desirable
