On behalf of our customer, a world leading aerospace component distributor based in Basingstoke, we are currently recruiting a Regional Sales Manager to join their UK team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience working in the aviation aftermarket component sector, be methodical in their sales approach, and be able to manage and develop a large portfolio of key accounts.
This is a remote role with regular international travel and a requirement to visit the Basingstoke office twice a month.
The Role
* To prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for a broad scope of products, services and solutions - targeting airline and MRO customers
* Deliver and regularly exceed sales targets
* Position the company as a world class partner with every customer by embracing their values and successfully balancing the customers’ requirements with the corporate objectives
Duties & Responsibilities
* Technically understand the functionality of all the company’s products and be able to effectively sell by differentiating them over the competition
* Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers in advance of meetings; following the visit, constructs a final report outlining the findings and actions along with market intelligence
* Makes sales calls and travel to customers a minimum of 40%
* Executes tactical sales meetings at customer facilities to include Engineering, Planning, Purchasing and Management representatives
* Develops relationships with a balanced cross section of customer contacts and decision makers (management, purchasing, planning, engineering, mechanics)
* Monitors competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that impact buying decisions
* Responsible for delivering sales presentations and collecting information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans
* Ability to develop budgets and forecasts on a quarterly basis
* Works in tandem with the Product managers and Strategic Partners to drive programs at selected customers

Education & Experience
* 5 years aviation sales experience
* Aeronautical degrees and further education qualifications not essential but will be considered as a benefit to all applicants
