Here at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, we are recruiting for a Research Facilitator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
This role involves working seamlessly with the Clinical Team, Trial Sponsors, and other internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should thrive in a collaborative environment within a small team.
The main purpose of the role is to manage all set-up aspects of clinical trials according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and trust policies.
Main duties of the job
1. Oversee the efficient and timely set up of clinical trials and workforce planning on a daily basis to meet organisational requirements.
2. Oversee and maintain databases/spreadsheets and produce monthly progress reports on recruitment.
3. General trial-related communication in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
4. Manage own workload for daily trial activity including case report form completion and amendment processing to meet internal and external deadlines.
5. Manage quality assurance of all trial-related documentation in accordance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
6. Work closely with the Research Manager to ensure preparation for audit and inspections.
7. Use initiative and work independently without close supervision, planning and organising own time and complex workload activity with prioritisation.
8. Understand that all research must be conducted according to ICH-GCP, the EU Directive on Good Clinical Practice, and the Research Governance Guidelines.

Qualifications / Training
* Postgraduate level education or equivalent experience
* Relevant training courses in clinical research
Previous Experience
* Technical experience
* Previous level of responsibility
* Significant experience in clinical trial administration including trial set-up, experience of staff supervision/management, and experience of working in a healthcare setting
