Job Title: Logistics Supervisor Location: Luton Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum (based on experience) Hours: 40 hours per week, flexible between 6am - 6pm Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Logistics Supervisor to support the smooth running of our clients Luton depot. The role involves a mix of operational and administrative responsibilities, including ensuring the proper maintenance of company vehicles, compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing depot performance. This position requires flexibility and strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff at all levels and external customers. A strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and experience with their interpretation and presentation are also essential. We are really looking for an individual that can make a real difference and can positively contribute to the future growth of the company and their personal career goals Key Responsibilities: Ensure the depot adheres to all Health and Safety regulations, including the compliance of all vehicles. Oversee and motivate staff, ensuring excellence and productivity in depot operations. Manage routing, customer service, and reporting using Vision WMS & DispatchTrack systems. Supervise drivers, including timesheets, appearance, training, and compliance with Company policies. Oversee vehicle maintenance (Small van fleet), documentation control, and compliance with GDPR. Monitor and evaluate depot KPIs, reporting any variances and initiating corrective actions. Perform general supervisory tasks, such as petty cash reconciliation, uniform ordering, and staff meetings. Provide support in training new employees and cover various roles across departments as needed. Manage financial budgets, including scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2 years' experience in transport (mainly 3.5t van fleet) and warehouse operations. Strong computer skills, with proficiency in WMS, Trafficking systems, Word, and Excel. Team Leader/Supervisory/ Managerial experience, with the ability to motivate and lead teams effectively. Confident driving a 3.5-ton van (Company Vehicle provided). CPC National qualification (desirable but not essential). Why Join Our Clients team?
