A day in the life of a Murphy, Senior SHES Advisor
* Advise and support Managers and Supervisors to discharge their responsibilities for the SHES of employees and others to whom they have a duty as defined by Legislation and Company Procedures.
* Ensure that all personnel are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, and provide advice as and when required.
* Carry out regular assurance activities of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and the relevant Statutory Provisions.
* Lead and participate in accident/incident investigations in accordance with the Company procedure, analysing all data and making recommendations to avoid any reoccurrences.
* Collate & review Business / Contract SHES statistics in a timely manner and submit to the SHES Management & SHES function for reporting purposes.
* Help develop and implement SHES campaigns and improvement plans in agreement with the SHES Management.
* Review SHES plans and ensure that they cover sufficient identification of risks and mitigation, procedures and associated documentation and check compliance.
* Identify significant SHES issues for contracts / yards and help set up contracts / yards to include appropriate controls.
* Carry out site inductions and other training as required, along with internal and external audits as needed.
* Provide visible SHES support on the project.

* Previous experience as a SHES advisor looking for the next step or already in a similar position looking for a new challenge.
* Working knowledge of either rail or civil engineering interfaces and practices and ideally have worked on large scale rail/civil projects.
* SHES membership, i.e., NEBOSH qualified along with CDM 2015 knowledge.
* Network Rail Standards (ideally).
* Solid understanding of the requirements of the ISO standard.
