A highly reputable law firm ranked Band 1 in Chambers High Net Worth Guide, is seeking a Senior Contentious Probate Practitioner to lead an existing team of two solicitors. This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate with extensive PQE looking to step up into a leadership role or an existing partner or senior associate ready for their next challenge.
The team is well-supported by a highly regarded private client team, and forms part of a wider litigation team that is ranked Band 1 in the Legal 500. The litigation team regularly handles high-profile cases featured in the law reports and national press, consisting of two partners, three senior associates, a solicitor, a paralegal, and a trainee.
The successful candidate will have the chance to shape and lead the contentious probate team, with the support of an experienced and ambitious litigation department. You will be able to choose your primary base office from one of the firm's three locations: Cradley Heath, Sutton Coldfield, or Wolverhampton, with flexible working arrangements available for the right candidate.
As Senior Contentious Probate Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and mentoring the contentious probate team, setting its direction and development.
* Managing a varied caseload of high-value contentious probate matters.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships, while generating your own work and managing an existing caseload.
* Collaborating with the wider litigation team on complex and high-profile cases.
We're looking for a Senior Contentious Probate Practitioner with:
* Extensive PQE in contentious probate, with a proven track record of managing high-value cases.
* Experience in leading a team, mentoring junior colleagues, and shaping the direction of a department.
* Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to generate and sustain your own workload.
