This role is within the Baker Tilly International Global Office, a team of more than 40 individuals, responsible for managing and co-ordinating the global network and supporting our 115 member firms.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Senior Manager to help lead our global Business Development* efforts alongside another Senior Manager who will be leading the Proposals agenda for the Global Office. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our capability to secure international business through strategic market engagement and robust collaboration with senior stakeholders globally. The role reports into the Baker Tilly Global Director of Commercial and International Business.
Key Responsibilities
Opportunity/Service Line Development:
* Facilitate cross-border collaboration and integration of new services l(ike ESG and Outsourcing) and help to launch and build these services internally and develop global GTM activities
* Using data analysis, help to identify the highest value, profitable sub services in priority markets and global service lines in order to better focus the global GTM strategy and focus areas
* Work with key Baker Tilly communities to develop processes and methods of opportunity development across existing clients; ensure these communities are well connected and integrated
Client Development
* Develop and test pilot projects around client listening and priority client programmes with the intention of developing these into formal programmes in the future.
* Define client personas and the required initiatives to support development of work from these segments globally and regionally
Global Alignment
* Engage with international business leaders across the network to align efforts and enhance service delivery. Build and maintain strong relationships, fostering a culture of trust and cooperation.
* Enhance connectivity and guide key stakeholders through the development and execution of priority projects that will aide the network in winning more international business opportunities including international referrals.
* Help to formalise and build the global business development community
BD Operations
* Enhance the quality and volume of data input and visualisation for key internal reporting systems
* Exploration and development of CRM systems aligned to key service areas and Global Office Proposal support
Innovation and Growth:
Leverage international experience to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities. Stay ahead of market trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
Communication and Advocacy
* Partner with the global Marketing and Communications team to disseminate key insights and successes both internally and externally.
* Articulate and advocate for the work of the Global Office and the global strategy.
Team and One Firm Success:
* Be a strong team member in the broader Global Office team who provides insight and knowledge sharing.
* Foster a culture of x-function and multidisciplinary collaboration across the Global Office and throughout the Network.
* Close integration with Proposals Senior Manager and other key stakeholders such as Marketing and Communications and Learning and Development.
Who You Will Work With
* All members of the Global Office, but in particular the Director of Commercial & International Business, Senior Proposals Manager, Marketing and Communications Lead and Senior Managers.
* International Business Leaders
* Global Office Teams responsible for data collection, information sharing, and strategic execution.
* Global BD professionals in local firms and across the Network’s regional teams
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience: At least 7 years in professional services with a substantial focus on international business development. Proven track record working with mid tier and MNC client bases. Successful implementation of client feedback programmes and global alignment initiatives.
* Education: Professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CFA) preferred. Advanced degrees in business or related fields are advantageous.
* Skills: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage diverse teams and work across cultures and time zones effectively. Strategic thinking with robust analytical capabilities.
* Behaviours: Strong leadership and consensus-building skills. Innovative, proactive, and able to drive initiatives with a focus on results.
*Note: The role is that of support to our member firms in winning international business. Baker Tilly International does not provide client services directly. However, we do support how our firms work together to win international opportunities.
The offer
This role will include a highly competitive remuneration package. It will be based in London but with flexibility to enable you to work from home or remotely as agreed. A reasonable amount of international travel is expected with the role.
The benefits package in the UK includes pension contributions, private medical insurance, a cycle to work scheme and electric car scheme. We offer comparative benefits for those working from outside the UK. Also from January 2023, we have been trialling an unlimited leave policy.
