Job Description
What you’ll do
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior administrator looking to take their first step in a legal support or administrative career to join our growing and highly successful Banking and Finance team in Bristol.
Legal support is integral to the success of our lawyers and clients - joining as a Legal Support Assistant you will receive full training and support from our existing and highly experienced support team. You will be providing efficient and effective PA and secretarial support to a team of 3 Lawyers in Bristol, and remote support to 1 Lawyer in Exeter, as well as supporting overflow from the other departments within the Commercial division. You will be supporting activities such as compliance, billing, email and matter management, business development activities and credit control. You will also manage diaries including travel arrangements, expenses, meetings and accommodation. You will build excellent working relationships with clients and colleagues, often being their first point of contact.
Our Banking and Finance team advises lenders, borrowers and other professional advisers across the public and private sectors. The team pride themselves on making a difference regardless of the size of the deal or level of financing required – being responsive, driving the matter forward and raising any issues so clients always are able to make the right choice. As a supportive and inclusive team, there are ample opportunities to learn and develop in the role.
Who you are
As a naturally fast learner with a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks, you will naturally have good attention to detail and time management skills. Full training will be provided upon joining the firm, so no previous experience is required, however, a previous role in a customer or client facing workplace would be beneficial.
As a naturally confident and outgoing individual, you will be passionate about providing an excellent level of support, whilst having a 'can-do' and helpful attitude. With a keen eye for detail, you will be keen to prove yourself in the role and to develop yourself. You will be eager to learn and understand the Firm's services and how we work with clients and support colleagues, with an ability to provide proactive support, anticipating the needs of those you are supporting and your colleagues.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to attend the office at least three times per week, so an ability to travel to our Bristol office is essential.
