KS3 Teacher – Nurture Programme
* Location: Effingham, Surrey
* Contract: Full-time, Permanent
* Salary: £33,075 - £50,471 per annum (M1 - UPS3 Fringe) Plus £5,000 Welcome Bonus*
* Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only
Join a dedicated team where the focus is on delivering high-quality education to students aged 11–16 with ASD and other complex or anxiety-related needs. This role is ideal for a qualified teacher who is passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of students through our nurture programme.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Deliver and develop the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students.
* Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance educational outcomes.
* Utilize and maintain planning resources to effectively deliver the curriculum.
* Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets to optimize student development.
* Assess and report on student progress to parents, staff, and relevant bodies as per school policies.
* Develop lesson plans with a reflective approach to teaching and learning.
* Manage classroom dynamics, ensuring a structured learning environment that promotes motivation and engagement.
* Handle challenging behaviours within the framework of school policies.
* Contribute to the review and development of EHC plans and other statutory processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience in a special school setting, particularly with pupils with ASC and SEND.
* Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum to pupils with diverse needs.
* Desirable: Further qualifications in SEND.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the national curriculum and its application to students with autism and complex needs.
