OUR CLIENT
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager based in Bridgwater in the UK. The company produces and distributes chemical products such as lubricants, cleaners and anti-corrosion products with a wide range of industrial applications, including in the automotive and electronics sectors.
THE ROLE
The role is to execute Human Resources and organizational activities covering personnel support and management support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Administer new employee processes: data entry, setup communication, announcement drafting and new hire details for EMEIA HQ.
* Manage holiday calendars, staff absence, and sickness records.
* Monitor employee absences and ensure return-to-work forms are completed.
* Process and file holiday entitlements.
* Manage UK recruitment processes: create JDs, benchmark checks, draft offers, Right to Work checks, payroll confirmations, and fee negotiations.
* Induct new employees.
* Liaise with external recruitment parties.
* Manage international communications: emails and noticeboard postings.
* Organize annual staff handbook updates.
* Gather and process salary review proposals.
* Liaise with external HR for advice.
* Address personnel issues, queries, and problems for employees and support line managers.
* Inform payroll of changes before monthly processing.
* Update the system with new starters and leavers.
* Notify and follow up with managers on probations and performance reviews.
* Organize and record training activities and maintain a training matrix.
* Maintain and update personnel files and document archives.
* Connect with external advisors for employment legislation advice.
* A small part of the position also includes the execution of some general office management duties, restricted to the coordination of employee travel arrangements and the organization of significant staff events such as Christmas functions, retirement celebrations, etc.
SKILLS
* Bachelor’s degree combined with 5+ years of HR experience.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
* Strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
* Self-motivated with collaborative working abilities.
* Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.
* Confidentiality and proactive attitude.
* Ability to manage a varied workload and communicate with Scandinavian locations.
