Job Title: Local IT Support Engineer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Local IT Support Engineer to provide technical support for end-users, IT infrastructure, and security management at our Milton Park, UK site. The role involves troubleshooting IT issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth operations within an enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Activity-Specific Support:
o CCTV & BMS Systems:
+ Manage and troubleshoot CCTV and Building Management System (BMS) infrastructure.
+ Ensure seamless operation and security compliance for surveillance and facility management systems.
o DNS Server & Firewall Management:
+ Address network configuration challenges where DNS server IP is hardcoded.
+ Ensure that the firewall, acting as the network’s default gateway, does not provide DNS services to maintain SSDLC security compliance.
o Evoko (Room Booking Device) Support:
+ Troubleshoot connectivity issues between room panels and the Evoko server.
+ Resolve server internet access limitations, ensuring only authorized connections such as Microsoft update sites are permitted.
o Conference Room Wi-Fi Issues:
+ Diagnose and resolve Wi-Fi connectivity problems affecting meeting rooms.
+ Enhance wireless network performance and reliability for seamless conference operations.
o MCT211 Laptop Machinery Software Installation:
+ Oversee the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of MCT211 laptop machinery software.
+ Ensure compatibility with existing IT infrastructure and operational requirements.
2. End-User IT Support:
o Provide hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
o Install and configure Windows OS, applications, and security software.
o Enable and support Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via MS Authenticator.
o Deploy security measures including antivirus, firewall settings, and data backup solutions.
o Offer hands-on training and documentation to assist end-users with IT system adoption.
3. Network & Security Management:
o Maintain Cisco and Palo Alto network infrastructure.
o Diagnose and resolve cabling, connectivity, and performance issues.
o Utilize DNA-C for network diagnostics and issue resolution.
o Coordinate with last-mile providers to ensure optimal connectivity service levels.
o Implement and enforce access control policies and security protocols.
Assumptions & Conditions:
* Remote L2 support for the UK is managed separately from Sanand.
* Application troubleshooting and L1 support are handled by the respective providers.
* MFA, antivirus, and user backup platforms are maintained by external partners.
* Move/Add/Change (MACD) requests within the same location will be coordinated but executed by respective service providers.
* The position includes 25 days of leave annually plus UK public holidays, with no replacement coverage during leave periods.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in IT support, network troubleshooting, and desktop services.
* Hands-on experience with Windows OS, Active Directory, and MS Office 365.
* Familiarity with Cisco and Palo Alto network tools.
* Experience with firewall security, backup solutions, and IT compliance.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
