M1 £31,650 – M9 £49,084 + SEN Allowance (negotiable)
39 weeks per year/full time/term time only
The CE AP Academy provides alternative education for young people who are permanently excluded from school, at risk of permanent exclusion from school, or pupils with emotionally based school avoidance. We also respond to the educational needs of pupils with EHC Plans who would otherwise be attending specialist provision. Many of the pupils present challenging behaviours. The pupil age profile is Key Stage 3/4 and covers a wide ability range.
The CE Academy is a multi-sited, countywide provision and has campuses in Northampton, Wellingborough, Kettering and Corby. The successful applicant may be expected to work from any Academy campus. There is a requirement to be able to travel throughout the county, transporting children where necessary and this requirement may be at short notice. Staff are offered extensive induction and further training.
Additional responsibilities within the inclusion team could be available for the right candidate.
