Are you an experienced chef with a passion for great food, teamwork, and making a difference in young people’s lives? We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Area Support Chef to join our Central Services Team at the Arthur Terry Learning Partnership. This dynamic role involves working across various schools within our Trust, supporting our Catering Operations Manager and on-site Chef Managers. From leading teams and developing menus, to delivering staff training — no two days will be the same.
As Area Support Chef you will:
* Provide hands-on kitchen support across schools to cover staffing gaps and operational needs.
* Troubleshoot catering challenges and support day-to-day service delivery.
* Motivate and train kitchen teams to deliver delicious, nutritious meals.
* Help develop menus, maintain food safety standards, and ensure cost-effective operations.
* Support the onboarding of new schools and ensure catering teams are ready from day one.
* Promote a positive food culture and champion healthy school meals.
What We’re Looking For:
* NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent)
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
* Proven catering experience
* Ability to lead teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and organisational skills
