Mid Furness Digital Development and Transformation Lead
The objective of the Digital Development and Transformation Lead is to work with the PCN to develop and support delivery of a strategic plan to expand and implement digital capability, alongside the progression and collaboration of Practices within Mid Furness Primary Care Network. The plan will be underpinned by a quality improvement methodology.
Develop and implement the Digital & IT Transformation Plan with the intention of ensuring that the PCN and its member practices consistently utilise the latest technology to improve patient services, maximise clinical efficiency, enhance internal communications and support improved information management.
Main Duties of the Job
* Enhance integrated working, building on staff skills and improving capabilities
* Drive efficiency and minimize waste
* Deliver evidence-based data to support decision-making that includes but is not limited to demand, capacity, utilisation data, staff and patient experience.
* Align with areas within MF PCN Health Improvement and Neighbourhood Inequalities Plan (e.g., Business intelligence, analytical data)
* Protect and develop our workforce
* Consider the digital maturity of the PCN
* Improve digital accessibility for our patients
* Stay up to date with new digital and IT developments in areas of PCN & practice support (i.e., telephony; websites & social media; intranet) and clinical delivery (patient communication; triage systems; workflow optimisation)
* Develop good working relationships with the ICB and other IT & Digital teams to identify opportunities for support and development.
Leadership and Management
* Manage and implement digital tools for the PCN.
* Proactively project manage all digital projects and evaluate effectiveness.
* Work with the management team on recruitment and development of workforce plan.
* Deliver and support nonclinical training.
* Ensure all staff (current and newly recruited) receive training on the digital tools within the PCN.
* Ensure all initiatives are fully scoped and underpinned by a quality improvement methodology.
* Stay up to date with national and local PCN guidance.
Governance
* Create and maintain accurate documentation in relation to standard operating procedures and project management.
Skills
* Excellent communication, relationship building, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work in partnership with the PCN leadership and management team.
* Develop relationships with practice staff, the local primary care team, neighbouring PCNs, and other key partners.
* Deliver technical information in a non-technical and engaging way to a range of stakeholders.

Experience Essential
* Significant experience of using IT packages to an advanced level.
* Education and training of others on a 1-1 or group basis.
* Experience of supporting others through change.
* Experience of using EMIS and other General Practice related software.
* Experience of using project management techniques to deliver successfully.
* Experience of change management and/or project work that influenced change.
* Experience of using Excel spreadsheets for complex reporting.
* Experience of process mapping to deliver IT solutions.
* Understanding of Data Protection Act and GDPR.
* Experience of working as part of a team.
* Experience of leading teams to support learning and success.
Desirable
* Experience of building relationships with other organisations and partners.
* Knowledge of Primary Care Qualities and Outcomes Framework & PCN impact and Innovation Fund.
Qualifications Desirable
* Degree Level qualification in IT related subject or equivalent gained through practice.
* Masters level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
