What you’ll be doing:
* Supporting the derivationand manage Product Safety requirements derived from Product Safetyhazard and riskidentification
* Working in accordance withProject Safety ManagementPlans
Influencing the developmentof a safe design, the Project Safety Case including logicaltechnical safety arguments and Safety Case justificationreports Supporting hazardidentification meetings and the maintenance of the project hazardlog Completing peer reviews,checking, verification and assurance tasks to demonstrate theadequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supportingdocumentation
Your skillsand experiences:
Essential
Understanding of engineeringsafety management processes, such as hazard analysis, logicalsafety arguments and safety casereport Reasonable understanding ofsafety within systems engineering – including establishment of goodengineering requirements and how they will be delivered throughengineeringprocesses Previous experience creatingjustificationreports Understanding of SafetyEngineering principles and application ofprocesses

As a SeniorEngineer you will provide support to the Engineering DeliveryManager in the development, delivery and maintenance of the ProjectProduct Safety Management System and Product Safety Case to ensureProducts are safe to own and legal tooperate. You will join agrowing team of about 50 engineers and will work collaborativelysince the early stage of a major development programme. This willprovide you with the opportunity to influence the progress ofdifferent projects within the SSNA Combat System programme and todevelop your career within BAE Systems.
