Our client is seeking a Trainee/Apprentice Estimator to join their Estimating Team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial flooring estimation while also developing key business administration skills. The successful candidate will assist in preparing quotes, logging and managing projects, and supporting the estimation team in daily tasks. Although primarily an administrative role, this position will introduce you to the core principles of estimating in the construction industry. Over time, you will develop the skills necessary to advance into an Estimator position with opportunities for further career progression. Key Responsibilities Assist in interpreting and articulating client requirements into detailed quotations. Support the preparation of accurate cost estimates, verifying quantities and pricing. Download, log, and distribute tender documents efficiently. Organise and manage digital files, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Answer emails and phone calls, handling client and supplier inquiries professionally. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, pricing, and market trends. Use bespoke software to quantify drawings and calculate material requirements. Ensure all work adheres to the companys Quality Standards and Procedures. Participate in training to develop estimating and construction industry knowledge.
