Job Description:
Tony Gee and Partners are hiring for a Supply Chain Manager to join the team.
Role Requirements
This role will have the responsibility of managing both our upstream and downstream supply chain. The successful candidate will need to possess excellent organisation and communication skills. They will have the vision to adapt current supplier management procedures or to help establish new ones which support the business. They will need to be proactive in their approach and be able to work independently and as part of a team. System maintenance will be a key aspect of this role but administrative support can be provided for certain tasks.
This role can be based in any of our UK offices.
Upstream – Client supply chain interfaces
1. Supporting B2B feedback – positive and negative – and ensure it is recorded and any actions allocated.
2. Support project delivery staff to obtain project-based feedback across business on how we perform for clients.
3. Manage and maintain client procurement portals. Assess what do these portals ask us to demonstrate and work with the business to compile evidence.
4. Regular reporting to management boards on performance, supply chain trends and industry best practice.
5. Support the business development team and sector leads to manage supplier relationships.
Upstream – Corporate accreditations
1. Work with the Marketing Manager to actively manage and maintain our corporate accreditation portals – (RISQS, Construction Line, etc)
2. Work with sector teams to identify industry accreditations required to demonstrate systems and performance, and working with the relevant business functions manage and maintain accreditations.
3. Compile evidence for use in accreditation renewals.
Downstream – Supply chain
Manage and administer our Approved project supplier list:
1. Ensuring supplier records are up to date
2. Supplier performance tracking – feedback and active management
3. Improvement of supply chain system and process
4. Knowledge management of who suppliers are, what they do, how much of it they do for us and how well they do it.
5. Managing evidence to help supply chain questionnaire completion (upstream)
Coordinate and promote interfaces with key suppliers.
1. Organise and attend supply chain meetings.
2. Grow business relationships.
3. Ensure our supply chain is resilient and robust and is managed in the right way.
4. Support the promotion of Tony Gee values and culture throughout our supply chain and ensure it is understood.
5. Support our supply chain to improve for better delivery (evidence of this is being demanded more by our clients).
Maintain and administer our Approved supplier list for office operational aspects:
1. Administrative approvals
2. Work with the Sustainability Team to facilitate supplier engagement in our Scope 3 emissions reduction plans.
Minimum Qualifications
* Prior experience in a supply chain management role
* Organisational skills
* Ability to meet defined deadlines and set own milestones to manage workload
* The ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with teams in a diverse range of forums and environments
* Ability to remain calm under pressure whilst working on multiple tasks
* Good creative writing skills and good grammar/authoring/ ability to proof read with an eye for detail
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a business support team in the UK and international regions
* To present a positive image internally across the business
* To promote Tony Gee values and culture across our client base
* To be able to exemplify personal integrity
* Willingness to work flexibly to ensure workload is managed effectively
* Willingness to look for better ways of working whilst considering best practice processes.
Desired Skills
* A working knowledge of SharePoint is desirable
* Supply chain accreditation through a professional body is desirable
