This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Heron Bros Ltd. continued success by producing compelling tender responses and supporting a range of bid and business development activities across the group. How will you make a difference: Bid Preparation and Writing Analyse tender documents, specifications and requirements to develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs Prepare, structure and write detailed and persuasive proposals, ensuring all bid submissions align with company standards and client specifications Develop tailored responses to prequalification questionnaires (PQQs), invitations to tender (ITTs) and other bid-related documents. Coordination and Communication Lead the coordination of the qualitative bids and liaise with internal teams, including Estimators, Project Managers, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors, to gather required information for bid preparation Work closely with the Commercial and Business Development teams to understand project goals and align bid content accordingly Communicate with external stakeholders, including clients and subcontractors, to clarify tender requirements where necessary. Content Development and Management Maintain and update a database of standardised bid responses, templates and supporting documents Create and curate a library of case studies, project profiles, CVs and other collateral to strengthen bid submissions Support marketing and business development campaigns across the group (internal and external) Execute actions from marketing and business development strategies to drive growth Conduct market research into new and existing markets and services Support and provide content for capability statements, presentations, website and marketing purposes Ensure consistent branding, tone, and messaging across all proposals. Compliance and Quality Assurance Ensure all bids are compliant with tender specifications, industry regulations, and company policies. Proofread and edit bid documents for accuracy, grammar, and clarity. Performance Analysis and Improvement Conduct post-bid reviews to analyse submission outcomes and identify areas for improvement Monitor industry trends and client feedback to enhance bid strategies and content. General Adhering to the company Health and Safety Policy Any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role. What does it take? Demonstrable experience in bid management. Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent focusing on Construction / Marketing / Media / Law / Journalism / Geography / History / Social Sciences discipline (Desirable) Strong analytical ability with a proven ability to interpret bid requirements and produce high-quality responses tailored to exacting requirements. Effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Strong organisational skills with experience managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Additional skills in InDesign would be desirable. What's in it for you?
