Overview of Role

Our client is a niche Managed Service Provider with a Head Office based in Alton, Hampshire, who are committed to enabling technology organisations and professionals to thrive within the Space, Defence and Security sectors. They are currently looking for an experienced SeniorNetwork Engineer to work onsite, 5 days per week, at a secure site in Hereford.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the technology systems have the correct network infrastructure developed for the specific environments. This will include (but not limited to) configuration and management of routers and switches, routing protocols, VLAN configuration, network segmentation, virtualisation, cloud networking, network automation, generation of detailed network designs, and configuration, including reports on network performance. They are looking for an SFIA Level 5 Engineer to fill this role.

Due to the security restrictions of this role, applicants need to hold, or be able to obtain, the necessary security clearance level of DV (SC with the ability to obtain DV will be considered). Please refer to the Government website on UK Security Vetting for further information.

The role may require travel to various sites within the UK which will require overnight stays.
