As a Hospital Volunteer, you will provide a friendly and helpful welcome to patients, families, and visitors to Bolton Hospital and assist with wayfinding services.
Volunteers enhance patient care by providing practical help and support to patients and staff, without replacing the work of staff.
The only qualification required is a desire to help someone in need and a professional, friendly attitude.
We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of four hours a week for at least six months. We provide all necessary training, including an induction and ongoing support.
Main Duties of the Job
You will support our Meet and Greet service by directing and accompanying patients, relatives, and visitors at our Main Reception and Outpatients department. Your responsibilities will include providing a friendly welcome and assisting individuals in reaching their appropriate destinations.
