Job Title: Year 1 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

£13.75 - £14.00 Per hour
Job Duties:
* Provide one-to-one support to a Year 1 student with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
* Support the student in accessing the curriculum and adapting learning materials as necessary
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the student's needs are met
* Monitor and record the student's progress and report back to the teaching team
Required Qualifications:
* Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Experience working with children with SEN
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Education:
GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Strong organisational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
This role will be based in a primary school setting in Ormskirk, Lancashire. Working hours are full-time, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate may be required to undergo a DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
