Job Description:
Holmen Board and Paper is a Swedish company and a member of the Holmen Group. The Workington Mill produces premium paperboard under the brand Incada. Our paperboard is an integral part of the shopping experience for our clients’ customers. Since 2013 we have powered the mill almost entirely by fossil fuel free energy. We’re looking for enthusiastic and driven apprentices to join our team as Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technicians. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining practical experience and industry-recognized qualifications in a well-established local company.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Learning to maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and systems
2. Diagnosing and fixing faults to keep operations running smoothly
3. Developing skills in electrical or mechanical, and control systems
4. Working alongside experienced engineers in a fast-paced environment
5. Studying towards a Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship
What We’re Looking For:
1. A passion for engineering and problem-solving
2. Strong practical skills and attention to detail
3. Minimum grade 4 GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science
4. Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
