Plus, one late night till 9/10pm Driver: Prefer driver though not essential Summary: A lovely returning client is looking for a Nanny for their 7-year-old twins. We placed their last Nanny with them 6 years ago and is only leaving as they are going travelling. Both boys are diagnosed with ASD. They are verbal but have language delays of a few years. They have no cognitive or physical impairments and are currently in mainstream school, where they receive 1:1 support for a portion of the week. Because of this, by far the most important quality they are looking for is someone who will be caring and responsive to the boys' needs, and champion their ability to thrive and be happy. Both boys are active, enjoying being outside as well as dancing and music, and so high energy is a must They don't need applicants to have worked with autistic children before, but creativity in finding ways to engage and help the boys learn would be useful. Duties to include: School collection 5 minutes' walk away, and school drop off is able to work 7am to 9pm Housekeeping related to the children, cleaning of their rooms, laundry, changing their beds and batch cooking (these duties only if starting at 2pm) Looking after the boys in their home, providing a safe and caring environment for them where they can decompress after school For holidays, looking after the boys in their home and elsewhere, with stimulating, child centred activities. Preparing and cooking the boys' meals when in their care (i.e. dinner every day in school time, breakfast if drop off included lunch and dinner during holidays).
