Senior Human Resources Officer (part-time 60%) Manchester

Annual Salary: £31,000 to £33,500 FTE (depending on experience)
Holidays: 30 days per year (FTE), of which 3 fixed over Christmas (Pro-Rata)
Location: Ancoats, Manchester.
Working Hours & Pattern: 22.5 hours per week. Mon, Tues, Thurs. 9am to 5pm

Job Purpose
The postholder will report into the Head of HR and will provide front-line administrative, operational, and transactional systems support for the HR team. The individual will be the first point of contact for all HR queries in the Manchester campus and will provide secondary remote support for the London campus in the absence of the London HR Officer.
The focus will be on day-to-day recruitment, line management support, administration, onboarding, and induction support. The individual will also support the Head of HR with the facilitation and delivery of line management training, HR compliance, and general HR administration support.

Role Responsibilities:
* Recruitment (25%)
o Draft and advertise adverts on internal and external recruitment channels.
o Shortlist CVs and applications, identifying potential candidates.
o Oversee the recruitment inbox, responding to candidate and hiring manager queries.
o Attend monthly meetings with the Manchester Sixth Form team and Apprenticeship team to review current vacancy activity.
o Update the recruitment tracker weekly and send weekly recruitment activity emails to hiring managers.
o Coordinate interview logistics and carry out the administration processes around pre-employment checks.
* Onboarding, Induction, Offboarding (20%)
o Add new joiners to the HRIS and carry out inductions for all Manchester-based staff.
o Liaise with internal Heads of Departments to arrange department induction sessions.
o Act as first point of contact for all Staff Handbook queries amongst Manchester employees.
* HR Service Delivery (25%)
o Support Line management with ER in the Manchester campus.
o Oversee and manage performance review and appraisal process for all employees.
* HR Administration (20%)
o Action all minor HRIS transactions and issue relevant letters to staff.
o Provide monthly reports on staff turnover and other key HR metrics.
* Other Duties (10%)
o Coordination support for the HR department of staff on-site events.
o Support the Head of HR with administrative duties as required.
Person Specification
* Previous Officer experience in a Human Resources field.
* Ability to undertake administrative tasks and develop effective office systems.
* Excellent written and communication skills.
* Strong commitment to Ada and the college’s values.
