This Bristol school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their SEND team as soon as possible. This school is centred around its student’s wellbeing, with its pupils at the forefront of everything the staffing team does. Within this BS7 school there is a fantastic SEN team that you will come to know and become a part of. This school is highly recommended and has great reviews from both parents and teachers alike. It has a car park on site and is alongside a public bus route. This role is full-time and long-term work from 8.20-3.30.
Your new role:
A Learning Support Assistant job is available to support a pupil with additional needs on a 1:1 basis. You will be required to be patient and empathetic as you will be working with children that have additional needs that require extra support within the classroom. As each child is different, you will have to be adaptable and use your own initiative. You will need to be clear and effective with your communication as you will be interacting with students, teachers and parents.
Requirements to succeed in your new role:
* Teaching Assistant qualification
* Two working references from your most recent jobs that apply relevance to the position
* Previous experience with children with additional needs is desirable
* A DBS on the update service – this can be done through Hays.
