Deputy Manager £13.50 ph // £28,000 Full-time (40 hours) Central Belfast We are currently seeking a dedicated and friendly Deputy Manager to join our team. As the Deputy Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Home Manager to enhance the skills of the care team, drawing on your personal and professional expertise to ensure that our residents receive the necessary support. Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager include administering medications, assisting with the creation of care plans, and helping staff improve their skills and knowledge in this field. You will also support the care team in honing their practices. The Home This Care Home provides care for older people, including those living with dementia and respite care. The role: Assist the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Oversee the administration of medications and ensure compliance with care standards and regulations. Support in developing and reviewing care plans, ensuring they meet the individual needs of residents. Lead and mentor the care team, providing training and guidance to improve their skills and practices. Ensure effective communication between staff, residents, and families, fostering a supportive and caring environment. Manage and monitor staffing levels, including recruitment, performance, and ongoing development. Maintain a safe and clean environment in line with health and safety regulations and policies. Handle any concerns or complaints, providing resolution in a timely and professional manner. About you: Proven track record of leading a team to provide exceptional care. Experience in person-centred care planning. Expertise in caring for individuals with dementia. Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct training sessions for staff.
