Diagnostic Radiographer Band 5 - up to 74.25 hours available. Full time or part time hours will be considered.
Work as a diagnostic radiographer within the team that provides 365 days, 24 hour radiology services, providing general radiography including theatre services, emergency radiography, fluoroscopic and angiography services, with rotation through CT and on-call. All applicants are required to have BSc Hons Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent and HCPC registration.
Post suitable for UK based students due to qualify in Summer 2025.
Main duties of the job
Work as a diagnostic radiographer to provide a radiology service across North Cumbria comprising general radiography including theatres, dental, fluoroscopy, angiography and CT. Work independently to justify and perform radiographic examinations from a range of referral pathways including general and dental practitioners. Provide 24/7 department cover including on-call for emergency and in-patient examinations. Work as part of the Radiology team to provide mentorship for student radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and newly qualified radiographers.
