The Role This role is focused in our Electronics Lab where multiple disciplines are working concurrently: Electronics, Customer support, Software, Mechanical and Systems. You will be involved with cutting edge rugged and reliable products with a need to assemble product for engineering development and test setups to support the verification of these products. Overall, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a dynamic role with multifaceted activities. Main responsibilities You will be responsible for managing the lab; including tracking goods coming in and going out, maintaining the lab, servicing of equipment, ensuring good ESD and H&S practices are being maintained and keeping track of stock. You will assist with testing of the products and help debugging a variety of issues that require a sound problem solving mindset. Help to identify where replacement equipment is required, additional equipment to support increased capacity and new equipment to support our latest cutting edge products. What do I need to bring with me? Behavioural competencies A strong methodical and organisation skillset will be required to ensure you can manage the various support requests to keep the product developments on track. Desirable knowledge and experience Experience in an electronics Lab or manufacturing environment Knowledge of VPX, VME, Compact PCI form factors is a plus Good level of soldering to create wiring looms and modify board configurations. Technical skills and qualifications Wiring, Soldering (down to 0402 size) Rework and modification of density populated single board computers with surface mount components down to 0201.
