The responsibilities of the SEND Teaching Assistant role, include:
Support a child with Autism and challenging behaviour on a 1-1 basis.
Work closely with the Class Teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
Assist with classroom activities and interventions aligned with the National Curriculum .
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment in the Primary School .
Provide emotional and behavioural support to enhance student engagement.
Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for the child.
Required Skills and Experience:
Previous UK school experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or TA .
Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and challenging behaviour.
A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Teaching Assistance or equivalent.
Strong understanding of Key Stage 2 (KS2) and the National Curriculum .
Ability to work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and wider school team.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning and development.
Working as a SEND Teaching Assistant for Flourish Education also offers you other excellent benefits, including:
£85.02 - £98.41 per day, which equates to £16,578.90 - £19,189.95 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
