Your new company
As the Interim Service Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the fostering team, ensuring high standards of practice, and driving improvements in service delivery. You will play a crucial role in supporting foster carers, managing staff, and liaising with external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people. You will be responsible for 4 Team Leaders and approximately 20 full-time staff.
Your new role
* Provide leadership and management to the fostering team.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Support and supervise foster carers, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources.
* Manage and develop team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
* Liaise with external agencies, including local authorities and health services, to coordinate care and support for children and young people.
* Monitor and evaluate service performance, implementing improvements where necessary.
* Handle complex cases and provide expert advice and guidance to the team.
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in a leadership role within a fostering or social care setting.
* In-depth knowledge of fostering regulations and best practices.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Relevant social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
