Key Responsibilities:
* 🩺 Lead Clinical Care: Take responsibility for the clinical care of patients, conducting ward rounds, risk assessments, and fostering a therapeutic environment.
* 🗣️ Responsible Clinician: Act as the Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
* 📊 Service Development: Play an active role in strategy development and participate in clinical governance to drive excellence across the service.
* 💼 Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior medical staff, facilitating their professional development.
* 🔍 Expert Patient Care: Contribute to patient assessments, formulations, and treatment plans, ensuring high standards of care are met.
About You:
We are looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist with a CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or Rehabilitation Psychiatry, who has:
* Extensive experience in a similar environment, preferably within forensic or rehabilitation settings.
* A commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care and a passion for multidisciplinary team collaboration.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and mentor junior staff.
* A proactive approach to service development and clinical governance.
