KierBAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall. We are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking an Instrument Coordinator. The role will focus on 10 Dock remediation and the construction of the supporting building. Due to the site being a high Security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made – BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and have been a UK residence for the last 5 years can be considered for this role. Location: Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth Hours : Permanent, Full Time Responsibilities As an Instrument Coordinator you'll be working within the Nuclear Devonport team, supporting them in the redevelopment of dock 10. Your day to day as an Instrument Coordinator will include: Manage the surveying team's survey and measurement equipment. Provide a support function to assist engineers managing their survey equipment. Verify that survey instruments are routinely checked by all users and identify and quarantine any faulty instruments. Creation and maintenance of The Instrument Check and Adjust Records spreadsheet. Maintain a file of calibration / conformity certificates for the instrumentation. Creation and maintenance of a Measurement Equipment Register and Calibration Programme. What are we looking for? This role of Instrument Coordinator is great for you if: Surveyor or engineer with a background in the construction industry. Certifications in SCADA systems or instrumentation, such as Certified Automation Professional (CAP) or Certified Control Systems Technician (CCST). Experience in working on a Nuclear Licensed site or similar controlled environments and UK major projects experience. Academic Qualifications preferred NVQ Level 3 and above - Surveying / Construction / Civil Engineer.
