Bar General Manager – stunning venue, SE1 London, up to £55k package (pro rata)
Working within a stunning venue with views across London, this growing company is seeking a creative, focused, and forward-thinking individual to join the company on an initial 3-month contract with the potential to extend. As the company grows, there is the future opportunity to take on a full-time role opening and developing other venues.
As the Bar General Manager, you would be responsible for:
1. Leading and training a team of approx. 30 staff
2. Ensuring a high standard of customer service and improving where needed
3. Involved and instrumental in new ideas for the winter season
4. Creative in marketing concepts and ways to upsell
5. Hands-on when needed
6. Responsible for admin, rotas, etc.
The venue is currently open 7 days a week, working hours would be 5/7, 40-45 hours per week.
You, as the ideal candidate, would be:
1. Experienced in a successful small bar/venue group at General Manager or Deputy General Manager level
2. Knowledgeable in bar marketing and upselling – constantly looking for new ideas and promotions
3. Customer-focused with an eye for detail
4. A strong leader – someone who can lead and develop as well as motivate the team
5. Financially aware
6. Passionate and driven – keen to make a success and develop a business
