Role: Cook - Temporary - Ballynahinch
Job Overview
VANRATH are once again supporting a returning client, a non-profit organisation in their search for a Cook. You will liaise oversee all activities in the kitchen, in an efficient and effective manner to achieve the objectives.
* £14/hour

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook, and serve healthy, nourishing, and varied meals, including special dietary requirements.
* Cook meals as required, including the daily evening meal.
* Bake as needed to provide fresh, homemade goods.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen by washing up, clearing away equipment, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
* Empty bins daily, wash them when necessary, and keep floors swept and washed regularly.
* Follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations, wearing appropriate protective clothing and suitable footwear.
* Take responsibility for personal health and safety, as well as that of others.
* Answer the doorbell and telephone when needed, offering refreshments to visitors.
* Perform all duties in line with working conditions and be willing to take on any other reasonable tasks as required.
Essential Criteria:
* Experience in food preparation and cooking.
* Ability to prepare varied, nutritious meals, including special diets.
* Knowledge of food hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
* Ability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
* Capability to work independently and provide cover as needed.
* Good communication skills and a flexible approach.
* Willingness to follow workplace policies.
