As part of an innovative clinical and operational structure across the organisation, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operational Coordinator to join our Women's Health Services at Ipswich Hospital.
As Senior Operational Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the administrative teams and ensuring that a high-quality comprehensive administrative service is delivered.
The Senior Operational Coordinator will be accountable for monitoring, assessing, and reporting on performance within defined service areas. This will involve highlighting any issues to the General Manager and identifying appropriate action to be taken. The Senior Operational Coordinator will also be required to attend all relevant performance meetings with their General Manager.

Main Duties of the Job
In conjunction with the General Manager, provide operational management support to the services within the designated departments/services of responsibility, within the Division. This will be undertaken jointly with the respective Clinical Service Directors and the Head of Operations for the Division.
In conjunction with the General Manager, manage all aspects of operational delivery within the relevant clinical specialties of East Suffolk & North East Essex Foundation Trust to agreed quality standards and within the resource and income base available, supporting the Trust's development as a clinically led organisation.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Postgraduate diploma in Management or equivalent experience
* Leadership courses/qualification or commitment to work towards
* Prince 2 or project management course
Experience
* Previous experience of managing staff
* Proven ability to achieve objectives
* Working to short time scales and meeting deadlines
* Working in a multidisciplinary environment
* Dealing with patients and handling difficult situations
* Previous experience of managing staff within the NHS
* Previous project or change management processes
* Previous medical secretary experience
