30 Hours Band 7 SLT Advanced Practitioner Voice to work within the North Devon Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service.
An exciting opportunity has become available for a 6 months fixed term contract Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist specialising in Voice Disorders.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide cover to deliver SLT services to adults with voice disorders in North Devon. The post holder will be based at North Devon District Hospital and will involve running clinics across the locality. This post provides the opportunity to:
* Work collaboratively with ENT and specialist respiratory multi-disciplinary teams to provide highly specialist intervention in voice, ENT and respiratory conditions affecting communication and swallowing.
* Participate in the south west voice forum and link in with the SLT specialist voice team based in Exeter.
* Access excellent supervision, peer support, appraisal, regular lead and wider SLT meetings and opportunities for continuing professional development.
* Provide support and clinical supervision to SLTs across the adult team, SLT support workers and students.
* Work collaboratively with the Speech and Language Therapist Advanced Practitioner, Head and Neck cancer to provide occasional cross cover as required.
* Refer to and contribute to delivering videofluoroscopy clinics as appropriate.
The ability to travel between clinic settings is essential due to the rural nature of North Devon and requirements of the post.
Working Pattern: 30 hours per week. 8:30 to 16:30 days to be arranged.
