About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
* Secure high-quality teaching and learning, effective resources and improved achievement for all children.
* Ensure that teaching is highly organised and differentiated to meet the aims and objectives for every child.
* Demonstrate a consistently high standard of classroom management and practice within the framework of the school policies and guidelines.
* Monitor and assess learning using school systems and frameworks.
* Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum alongside EHCP outcomes for pupils.
* Implement and evaluate curriculum, behaviour support plans, and assessment tools.
* Remain up to date with developments within the school.
* Possess skills and attributes such as nurturing, adaptability, enthusiasm, integrity, and commitment.
* Develop a collaborative ethos enabling everyone to work towards common goals.
* Ensure individual team accountabilities are clearly defined, understood and agreed, including planning, observing, reporting, and assessment.
* Ensure every child has access to high-quality teaching and learning.
* Work with the Curriculum and Leadership Team to promote the vision and values of the school to pupils, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community.
* Comply with and actively implement Children’s Services and school policies regarding Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities, and Safeguarding.
* Motivate others to work together well as a team in the best interest of children and families.
* Engage in MDT practices with SaLT, Behaviour Support, and OT.
* Drive a continuous and consistent focus on pupils’ achievement, using school assessment systems to monitor progress.
* Establish creative, responsive and effective approaches to teaching.
* Monitor, evaluate, and review the effectiveness of teaching.
* Create a culture and ethos of challenge and support where all pupils can achieve success and become engaged in their own learning.
* Manage and organise the learning environment within the classroom to reflect the school’s high standards.
* Use and integrate a range of technologies effectively and efficiently.
* Ensure that planning is child-centred and considers the diversity of individual children.

* Have due regard for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, following the child protection procedures adopted by the Local Authority and school.
