Our client, a reputable accounting firm based in Derby, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounts Senior to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the firm’s continued growth and success while working with a diverse portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Accounts Preparation:
Prepare and review financial statements for a wide range of clients, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant standards.
Compile accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
Oversee bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts.
Tax Compliance and Planning:
Prepare and file VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.
Assist with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
Provide tax planning advice to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and efficiency.
Ideal Candidate:
ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
Proven experience in a senior accounting role, ideally within an independent accounting firm.
Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
