This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
An opportunity has arisen within our team for a band 4 Specialty Coordinator. You will be responsible for providing and managing an efficient and effective full administration service for the Consultants and designated clinical staff.
1. To co-ordinate and be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive secretarial and administrative services to the Consultants and the wider team.
2. Day to day management of the Consultants diaries eg organising clinic commitments, arranging appointments and theatre lists, where appropriate.
3. To arrange special investigations and action other issues arising from clinic appointments, ensuring that all tasks are dealt with in order according to their urgency
4. To ensure patient referral letters, clinical reports, correspondence, investigation results etc are available for preparation of clinics
5. Responsible for ensuring that the National and Trust ‘Referral to Treatment’ (RTT) timescales are adhered to.
6. Monitor clinical bookings to ensure that clinic times are fully utilized keeping patients informed of any changes. Be responsible for the re-organisation of cancellations delegating suitable duties where appropriate.
