The Tool Connection sells five major brands - Laser (specialist hand tools), Gunson (classic specialist tools), Kamasa (general tool market), Power Tec (body repair) & Connect (consumables) and is a business to business seller.
As an Area Sales Representative, you will be responsible for visiting customers (Motorfactors and wholesalers) within your region to promote all of these brands and secure sales.
We are keen to speak to people with automotive, sales, or tool experience who are interested in this exciting opportunity with a market leader in the automotive aftermarket sector. Location: Covering the South East of England (Including London and the Home Counties) - The ideal candidate would be based in Romford, Dartford, Slough, or St Albans.
The Role:
1. Being responsible for achieving & reporting on set sales targets within your designated region, you will be both proactive & reactive in your approach to selling the complete range of brands.
2. You will work closely with prospective & existing customers and, by understanding their needs, will develop, support & grow business.
3. Advise customers of promotions for future developments & introductions of new products.
4. Daily submit customer orders as necessary and provide daily call sheets detailing work carried out and any actions required. You will also report on market conditions & provide competitor data when relevant.
The Candidate:
1. An experienced sales professional with a strong knowledge of the automotive aftermarket sector practiced at selling into buying groups and independent motor factors.
2. Able to demonstrate an ability to build excellent working relationships with both external and internal customers.
3. Outstanding communication/presentation skills with the ability to negotiate at all levels.
4. Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
5. Excellent time management and planning skills.
6. Customer focused but commercially aware of business needs.
