We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to lead and develop ourPodiatry Service for people over the age of 50 across Worcestershire,which includes clinic delivery and home visits. You will be a HCPCregistered Podiatrist with a BSC in Podiatry or Chiropody, engaging witholder people. The role will involve the assessment and treatment ofpatients including nail surgery, verruca needling and MSK / biomedicalassessment.The ability to drive is essential to the role. You will require a full drivinglicense and access to a vehicle for work purposes with appropriatebusiness insurance is a requirement.You will also undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Principle Responsibilities and duties
1. To maintain professional standards and take legal and professionalresponsibility and accountability for all aspects of work undertaken.
2. To maintain a clinical caseload, including assessment, determining theclinical diagnosis and carrying out treatment problems of the foot forpeople over the age of 50 in a clinic setting and within client's homes,specialising in the treatment and management of the foot and ankle.
3. Clinical supervision and monitoring of foot health practitioners andvolunteers
4. Dealing with a wealth of different conditions ranging from ingrown toenails,corns, calluses, verrucaes, fungal infections, biomechanical to thecomplexities of the diabetic foot.
5. To discuss treatments with patients and refer them to appropriateprofessionals when necessary, following NICE/NHS recommendedtreatment pathways.
6. To advise patients on maintaining foot health, especially to thosevulnerable patients with general medical problems.
7. To provide long term care for people at high risk of foot injury or disability those with diabetes.
8. To undertake home risk assessments of the client home and venue riskassessment of outreach venues on the first visit and raise any concerns withService Manager reviewing these risks at each subsequent visit.
9. To maintain accurate and contemporaneous client records usingdesignated electronic/other organisational databases.
10. To receive card/cash payments from clients, ensuring they are accuratelyrecorded and deposited with the Finance Team at the end of each clinic.
11. To work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure a smooth transitionof payments is met.
12. To form an active part of the team, participating in team meetings andattending regular 1-1s and appraisals.
13. To think and act in a supportive and nonjudgmental way.
14. To be prepared to undertake regular training as required by the Service,including online training modules.
15. To carry out any additional relevant tasks or duties as required on theinstruction of any manager.
16. To ensure that safeguarding of service users is a key priority and take anynecessary internal and external procedures and actions.
17. Work in accordance with GDPR, Safeguarding, best practice and qualityframeworks.
18. Take responsibility for own personal development and learning.Undertake training as required.
