Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.
Package: £24,270 - £34,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications & level of experience)

Let us introduce the role
AWE is currently recruiting for a Warhead Electronics Technician (early career engineer) to join the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) team. In this position, you will work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team to develop your skills in Electronic Engineering, circuit design, printed circuit board layout and systems integration.
We welcome candidates from a broad range of education and experience and you will be supported as you develop and progress.
Who are we looking for?
We do need you to have the following:
Apprenticeship, NVQ, ONC or above qualification in STEM subject
Some of the things you would be doing (but not limited to) are:
Circuit design and prototyping
Circuit board design and layout
System integration (bringing multiple systems together)
Cable and harness design, development and manufacture
National Instruments LabVIEW software development
Product development:
19" Rack systems
Euro card systems
Backplane systems
Boxed / enclosed designs
Produce and implement a lifecycle quality management plan
Whilst not to be considered a tick list, we'd like you to have knowledge & experience in any of the following:
Knowledge or experience with high level programming languages such as Python, Java or LabVIEW
Experience in circuit design or layout
Good understanding of Microsoft office applications
Systems engineering / systems thinking knowledge
Fault finding techniques
Analogue or digital electronics
Local networking of computers
