Job summary We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible and highly motivated Band 3 Imaging assistants (full time position) to join the Ultrasound team at Hammersmith Hospital -Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful applicant will be required to supervise and support Band 2 Modality assistants, assist Sonographers and Radiologists to help deliver a high quality patient focused service. They should have good communication skills, be able to work as part of a team, with good listening skills and an ability to follow direction and protocol in a busy and ever changing working environment. To deliver our service, this role requires a flexible approach to work with the possible addition of evening and weekend shifts to current contracted hours on a rotational basis. Main duties of the job To assist and support the professional staff within the Imaging Directorate maintaining a high standard of patient care by carrying out assigned tasks. Provide an efficient and reliable system for throughput of patients ensuring the activity and needs of the unit are achieved. Co-ordinate the imaging assistant team on a day to day basis Assist with clerical needs of the unit.
