Key Responsibilities:
Set a business plan for the service including budget income, cost, and contribution expectations.
Develop new business through a drainage consultancy service.
Manage and maintain client relationships and write professional proposals with appropriate fee estimates.
Design new development infrastructure, ensuring high-quality delivery on time and to fee targets.
Conduct engineering appraisals of schemes and identify project needs.
Monitor project fee commitments, cost control, and report to the Flood Risk Manager.
Carry out Drainage Studies and Flood Risk Assessments upon client request.
Ensure best practices in scheme development and compliance with relevant laws and codes.
Prepare designs and coordinate with other project teams as necessary.
Act as Construction (Design and Management) Regulations Designer, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.
Prepare and present technical, financial, and operational reports.
Undertake staff disciplinary investigations and represent the section at hearings when required.
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in drainage engineering and consultancy services.
Detailed knowledge of highway developments, particularly drainage infrastructure and flood risk management.
