A small but punchy team that often is found at the forefront of creating complete systems for their clients who are active in several different industries. They seek a dynamically minded person who has the want and desire to work on multiple projects, both software and hardware, and also has a customer-focused mindset.
Our clients can often be found working in a number of industries such as EV, Aerospace & Defence alongside more emerging markets of Radio Frequency. They consider themselves to be a test and measurement business and create bespoke solutions for their clients. Frequent travel is an absolute requirement for this role, which could be up to 4 nights a week, although this is a rare case.
Core Competencies:
1. A results-focused, action-oriented mentality is essential with the ability to deal effectively with customers to deliver successful project outcomes.
2. Must be able to multitask, manage time and prioritise effectively.
3. Problem-solving skills to analyse the problem following a logical and methodical approach, whilst also thinking creatively to provide a solution.
4. Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
5. Enjoy working as a team player as well as working autonomously.
Technical Skills:
1. A degree in engineering, such as electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics, mechanical, computer science or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of instrumentation, control and industrial automation.
3. Demonstrable experience in measurement & instrumentation design.
4. Proven experience in requirements capture and writing technical proposals.
5. Ability to debug and solve problems in a range of systems efficiently.
6. Experience with mainstream PLC brands (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc).
7. Desire and ability to learn new skills/programming/applications.
8. PLC or NI instrumentation and control panel experience.
9. Legal right to live and work in the UK. Valid passport for global travel.
10. Must hold a full clean valid UK driving licence and own vehicle to use for work travel.
