As the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust continues to grow, we are looking to recruit a Family Support Worker to join our team in Gloucestershire.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing emotional and practical support to families where a child has been diagnosed with cancer.
Responsibilities
1. Undertake home, hospital and school visits within Gloucestershire to deliver tailored approaches to support all family members throughout every stage of their childhood cancer journey.
2. Contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the Family Support Service at the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust.
3. Coordinate events to bring families within the oncology community together.

What you need to know:
1. This role is a part time position working 30 hours per week, between Monday and Friday.
2. You will be required to travel widely within Gloucestershire and surrounding areas so you must have a current driving licence and provide a car.
3. Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.
