An exciting opening has arisen for a suitably qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer to join the team at a state of the art Anaerobic Digestion and Cat 3 transfer station. The ideal candidate will be a safety conscious individual with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
This is a full-time permanent position working 12-hours shifts on a 4 on 4 off basis (days and nights, including weekends).
As a Maintenance Shift Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company's requirements but will include:
1. Risk assessing all jobs before work begins.
2. Undertaking planned preventative maintenance and lubrication schedule on plant assets such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves.
3. Completion of reactive tasks as per defect list, obtain readings from various on-site meters and completion of relevant check sheets.
4. Assisting with contractor and third-party asset services and general housekeeping.
5. Completing all logs and job sheets as required.
6. Actively participating in projects, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing principles.
7. Adhering to all Site Health and Safety Regulations and required to attend Health and Safety, Fire and Welfare Training both on and off site.
8. Installing and maintaining equipment ensuring minimum interruptions to production.
9. Assisting in any other duties and ad hoc projects as and when required.
Requirements:
1. Hold a recognised apprenticeship.
2. Hold a minimum CGLI or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
3. Engineering experience (this would be advantageous if this was in the AD industry).
4. Experienced in working with and applying isolations and isolation systems LOTO (Mechanical and Electrical).
5. Dual skilled mechanical/electrical is desirable but not essential.
6. Experience of Centrifugal, Lobe, Diaphragm, and screw pumps.
7. Able to replace shafts, seals, and bearings, pipework, fittings, and couplings.
8. Confident with valve replacements and basic pneumatics.
9. Must be used to working at height.
