About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our vibrant team at our Wembley residential aged care facility. This role is more than just a job; it's a chance to make a real difference in the lives of our residents by providing them with nutritious meals in a warm and welcoming environment.
In this role, you will be crucial in maintaining our kitchen practices to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. You will serve and deliver food and beverages to designated locations, maintaining a high level of service. Beyond the kitchen, you will have the chance to build meaningful connections with our residents, respecting their privacy, values, culture, and beliefs. Your responsiveness to their requests and complaints will help create a supportive and respectful community.
About you
You will have a passion for providing high-quality service in a team environment. You should be someone who thrives in a structured setting and takes pride in meticulous work. You will ensure you always prioritise a safe and healthy environment, along with the following experience:
1. Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
2. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
3. Good attention to detail and sound relationship-building skills.
4. Demonstrates an understanding of both personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
5. National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months).
