How you’ll play your part
In this role, you will support the Fleet Finance team in providing an efficient underwriting service, assisting with the preparation of credit applications for corporate customers. You will develop skills to analyse financial statements, projections and cash flow forecasts to make recommendations to the appropriate approval level for lending decisions. You will ensure credit risk is minimised and ensure full adherence to legislation and compliance issues with regard to the Corporate Fleet portfolio.
You will study towards an apprenticeship.
Main Accountabilities
1. To become competent in analysing complex financial/non-financial information, including management accounts, balance sheets, cash flow statements and profit & loss accounts for Corporate customers.
2. Make recommendations based on in-depth analysis and communicate to Senior Management with accompanying rationale.
3. Prepare annual reviews on a monthly basis to monitor the existing portfolio and ensure Global Credit Rules are being adhered to.
4. Support the Fleet Finance Specialist with reporting requirements and maintenance of the application register, monitoring new and existing credit application requests.
5. Provide ad hoc support to the existing team of Analysts to enhance services and culture.
6. Approve new proposal requests within existing funding availability via the Phoenix system, ensuring no overline usage exists.
7. Develop a good working knowledge of the Local and Global Product/Credit rules and regulations, ensuring we are compliant and hold all relevant securities, as per the funding approval.
8. Perform risk ratings for the Corporate Sales Team, ensuring that any immediate risks are identified.
About you
1. A strong team player that is comfortable working independently or as part of a wider team.
2. Clear, concise written and verbal communicator with good MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
3. Self-motivated with the ability to learn and work within a pressurised environment whilst maintaining focus on personal, departmental and company objectives.
4. Excellent attention to detail.
